And as I was leaving the restaurant heading towards the parking lot I noticed this couple taking pictures of my R18 FE. And before you know it a 20 - 25 minute conversation just passed! The gentleman rides a Road Glide and the lady an Indian - they were just taken aback by how beautiful they thought the bike is!
I told the man that honestly, if my stature were better (uh, both physically and financially!) I would love to have his RG! I told him I had my eyes on the 18 Softail Deluxe! A most pleasant conversation (he suggested some routes I could try); perhaps counter to the perception (if it still exists?) that HD riders are 'its 'HD or don't bother'!'
Oh, and earlier in the day a pedestrian shouted 'nice bike!' And yeah, we know it, it absolutely is!
