What did you do to your R18 today?

My first catectomy. Lucky I have enviro credits from my electric cars.

It's a big void. Not sure if that's good or bad...will definitely slow the exhaust; that's not good. But likely flows easier than thru the cat? Ha, what could all those high priced engineers know anyway. Lol

I‘m looking forward to hearing the exhaust note after the decat surgery.

Good seeing the comparison between the two. I prefer the leaner look of the original although I’m pretty sure my view might be very different given 100 miles in the seat. 😊
It’s definitely bigger and not as streamlined looking on the bike. The stock seat is pretty bad for all but the shortest of rides as it is quite narrow at 11” and has a curved ramp the whole length. After 3 hours, I’m eager to get off the bike with the stock seat, and I’ve been uncomfortable after about 45 minutes.

I’m hoping the Weekender seat at 14” wide and a more flat seating area vs the stock will help. Only downside I noticed putting it on is it feels slightly lower than the stock high seat on my Classic.

Don't mind some of the tools & socket left on the bike.My digital torque wrench took a dump and I had to find my other one.I did clean up after installing the fenderLOL!

Did they change the bearing in the swing arm to take a bmw wheel (for rear wheel bike/car swap) or is that simply a decorative roundel?

Decorative.
The wheel is from Drag Specialties for a late model HD that has the 1 inch axel(earlier models had a 3/4 inch axel).I found it and Hannigan only charged me $150 to machine it to fit the rig.
A all chrome wheel is included in the sidecar base price so the little extra to was worth it to match the BMW black wheels.

I spray painted the oil cooler guard chrome. I felt the black plastic looked cheap and detracted from the overall aesthetic. Now that it's painted it looks cheap but doesn't draw your eye to it as much, it blends much better. View attachment 3951View attachment 3952
