Tried both, the Cross Country and the Weekender and didn't like them at all.
Yeah, they are an improvement over the stock seat but not worth the money they sell for, imho.
Settled for my long time friend, Russell Day Long. It will be ready by the end of March.
Sorry if I struck a nerve but there's no seat that comes even close to the Russell.
I speak my mind...( Isiah verse 41)

In this case is not that. Is not about different strokes for different folks.
Most of the major seat makers do a decent job building different seats but there's nothing better than a Russell, period.
And I've had almost any seat that you can think of at one time or another.
Long live rock'n'roll!

So I may be one of the few here that doesn’t mind the original FE seat. If anyone has one that they want to part with for a reasonable amount I’m interested. Thanks!

They’re kind of like the fishtails, no one likes them but no one wants to get rid of them.

I love RDL and have always had a heated, real leather one on my GS bikes. No way I would put one on this one :). Ill suffer. I just use an alaska leather sheepskin on the stock seat and Im OK. Im waiting for a good aftermarket to come along. Right now the dealers dont have one to show me and I know better. Im not putting a seat on my bike I havent seen

Hello together, I was one of the first to buy the R 18 first edition in september 2020 with the cross country seat and backseat both with backrest in Germany. The backrest (original) for for my wife (sissybar) never could be delivered. Does anyone know where I can buy it? BMW told me that they can't deliver and took it out of stock. In Germany you can't get it, but maybe somebody knows where they are produced (Mustang ??) and I could hopefully buy it there. I'm from Germany and hope my writing is readily understandable. Thanks for helping.

OEM? I don't know. Check out at motea.com A few models available for the R18

I have a sissy bar with luguage rack available, in Holland, it conflicts with my top case solution... it is not a specific Mustang produced item.
