Bravo for the video!
I myself use the Kern Stabi system and a high lift pallet truck.
During last ride I made a stop to take a picture of the bike and guess what ?
I realised I forgot to disassemble the Kern Stabi system, Oooops !
It fortunately did not cause any incident, see attached photo!

Did you install the Jekyll and Hyde exhaust adapters? I recently received the J&H exhaust adapters; however, I didn't install them as of today as my bike is currently up on the x518 stand, with wood blocks supporting the rear. Looking at the installation document for the adapters, it looks like the adapters use the existing frame mounting points currently supporting the J&H exhaust system?

The weather is a bit warmer today, I may take a closer look and install the J&H adapters; I painted them black a couple of weeks ago, since they look like they are designed to be permanently mounted to the bike's exhaust bracket.

You mean you rode around with that thing under the bike?

Just a 10 km ride in town, no damage at all
i bet you won’t forget that again. Your set up seems complicated but has lots of benefits for storing the bike upright and conserving Space, also for maintenance and cleaning with the lift. I am very blessed and have lots of space and a regular bike lift, but because the R18 doesn’t have a center stand I did get a Wheeldock to keep it upright when parked.

I would consider you to be "extremely lucky"; had the forward retaining bolt become detached from the stand's locking point, where the leading edge of the stand could have dropped down and made contact with the pavement - who knows how that would have turned out...

Maybe attach a bright colored leash to the stand and loop it around the throttle as a reminder? I'm planning to limit my use of the stand for winter storage & service; however, will keep your experience as a reminder..

Installed the Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde Kern-Stabi exhaust adapters (X518-JH) for the X518 stand today; it's pretty straight forward, where it replaces the existing BMW Torx threaded bolts which land within the frame in order to support the exhaust muffler brackets. These bolts are reused when installing the Jekill & Hyde exhaust system; however, replaced when using the X518 stand and the X518-JH adapters.

Pictures showing the stand landing points for the adapters; the adapters stay permanently installed on the J&H exhaust support bracket. The orange arrow calls out the notch-catch which is located on the Right-Hand-Side of the X518 stand:

I'm going to leave the big lever, with the BIG RED GRIP attached to the stand while it is in use on the bike..

Lucky your in the us, we have lots of sleeping policemen here, perhaps a corded sprung cable attached to the bars as a reminder , similarto the ones used on disklocks ?
