Weekender seat backrest removal

Probably a silly question .... I've come into possesion of an as new weekender seat with backrest and pillion ... it came with the backrest fitted

How do you remove the backrest ?

Ahhh .... right .... a good tug !!

Now it slides in and out a little too easily ... is there a way to adjust resistance ?

There is a screw with a ball at the back in a nut. You can tighten this a bit and try it. Do use Loctite.

Anyone know where to look for a weekender seat with backrest? The dealer wants $1,500 for both.

Hi, on the German "Ebay" site "Kleinanzeigen" there is a complete set for sale for 799.00 euros (870.00 USD) ex shipping costs. It states that the seller ships to the USA. I also bought my set through Kleinanzeigen and I live in the Netherlands.
