BROKEN (maybe manufacture issue)

Good Morning/Afternoon/ Evening

Last weekend i went with my friends for long journey, from AbuDhabi to North Emirates, total distance was around 750km (466 miles), we start from 10am until 2 am next day. It was really nice trip. However in the night we drove in dark roads, I noticed that my light not bright as usual, I thought there’s dust on the light, because the bike was dusty from the highway, anyway I stop clean the light and continue, nothing changed. When we stopped to take rest & cold drinks. I check the light and its BROKEN from inside there’s no marks outside shows if something hit the light, I don’t have any idea when / how this happened l, I stored the bike end of May (summer time), I start to ride end of October. I checked pictures the bike was fine when I stored. I informed BMW maintenance supervisor, and im going to bark the bike there today night, they will inspect it early morning. The thing is I just got Whatsapp voice note from the supervisor. He informed me there another bike arrived today with same issue. I believe Its manufacture issue & it should be cover by warranty. Check ur bikes guys. By the way not easy to see the broken part until you focus.
Last weekend was my bike first anniversary with 16100km (10000 miles)

Check this thread 'Adaptive Headlight Issue' .. yours is not an isolated incident ... and sorry to hear.

I am so sorry you have been bitten my friend. Like Ulrich points out, this is a weak point on the TC and B because the adaptive headlights fitted.
Hopefully you get yours sorted soon.
If your country allows it please file a manufacturers claim/safety complaint as this is the only way to get BMW Motorrad to accept that the adaptive head light units fitted to the bikes are not fit for purpose and hopefully they will issue a recall. Out of warranty this item cost an eye watering USD 3,000.00 minimum.

Actually I have a good relationship with showroom and service in BMW AbuDhabi, and they are friendly and helpful with everyone.
In my country we have Department of Economic Development, consumer protection. But I will not talk to them now, first I will check what the dealer will say.
Sure it will be report to bmw HQ.
I know its really expensive part

My 2023 TC has only done 5,000km (3,200 miles) and the headlight has already broken. I wondered why every other truckie (trucker / lorry driver) was flashing me on my way home from Sydney to Brisbane (Australia). Not surprised now. The whole reflector has dislodged and was undoubtedly dazzling oncoming vehicles. Fortunately BMW Motorad Australia through my dealership are replacing the entire assembly. But there goes a day sitting around waiting while the workshop disassembles the front end to remove the damaged headlight and replace it.
