Removing muffler Baffles.

Has anyone removed their stock muffler baffles? I would like my 18B have a bit more sound but can’t justify 1800 US dollars . Crazy . Here’s a pic of the end of my stock muffler . Looks like if I remove the muffler , and remove the baffle bolts , it would slide out ? Anyone do this or what else did you do to get more sound without having to take out a loan !

I’ve recently done the exact mod, it was very straightforward (using the correct hole cutter etc) and I’m very happy with the end result. It’s all on there 👍

I agree with your assessment of spending $1800 for a little more sound. I did my exhaust three weeks ago. I like it!!
 
I was wondering. Can the Baffles just be removed? Looks like there bolted in there with 4 screws . They would have had to be installed at some point into the Muffler? How was that done ?

The four bolts are just for the end caps. If you search on YouTube I have seen footage of people literally cutting out the whole baffle leaving a very open ended silencer BUT it’s way too loud and not especially nice in tone, for me. I’ve heard for example Freedom exhausts and they are probably more like what you are after, they sound good but like everything it depends how badly you want a louder bike. You’ll have to search the forum to find what individual owners have tried out like, vwjedi above. Then decide what to do.
