 I am just about to purchase a 23 plate R18 TC but the dealer has already disabled the Reverse gear !!. This recall has been going on for some time now and I'm not sure what to do as I do need the reverse.

Does anyone know when its likely to be resolved as for me sadly it could be a deal breaker ( New knee replacement ) Many thanks in advance !!
Dealer is already starting to replace the switch here in Ottawa, Canada. Mine has always worked fine, but if they want to install a better one, then it's all good.

My R18 B reverse function was restored last week; in speaking with the service manager, it sounded as though, dealerships have received parts specifically for customers that had brought their bikes in for the Reverse Recall?

My service shop said that they have the parts for my FE edition; which is currently in pieces, waiting on LMC parts..

I posted pictures and a list of the new parts in a separate thread..

When I had my reverse fix done about a month ago, that was the impression I had aswell. Parts ordered in for specific VIN numbered bikes by appointment only, guess it’s to keep a close audit on every bike done and the ones that still require it.
