After the flash back or the dealer with the reverse recall I rode home under stock fueling conditions. It was fine, almost Camry fine. It did everything well but was, well, just ok.

Reloaded the Brentune. (What a cluster F of instructions from them, maybe another post) and rode the bike. Wholy shizzle, time to hold on, no full throttle here. It jumps intention everywhere. Cool.

Fwiw I have the airbox mod, no cats, flapper delete and drilled out a bit of the baffles in the fish tales.

Mmmm.... I'll add my thoughts in a month as well. I'll be removing the BT tune for the reverse fix so will get a reasonably instant seat of the pants experience as well. I've become a bit conditioned to the "as is" with the tune so hopefully a bit of contrast will be good.

I might also get it dynoed as well to see what it is doing compared to 114/117 HD's.

I've read a lot of your posts, especially regarding the CAT delete - neat job! I'm on the fence about the Stage 2 air box mod, and looking for "long term" (used loosely here) feedback from those that have done it using the Stage 2 DNA/ K&N filter with the metal frame replacing the plastic housing. Have you experienced any issues with the O2 sensors throwing any codes? How many miles have you put on since the air box mod?

Fwiw.... I run the stage 2 DNA..... maybe 7,000kms on it..... no issues..... though I do reflect on wether it is a good idea.... as they (oiled cotton) don't filter as well as a quality paper filter.

Fwiw.... the wideband O2 sensors allow the R18 to mostly tune within a range that sees the bike adapt to most exhaust/aircleaner variations.... though it is adapting to predefined "data tables" for timing and AFR's that are more "enviro" optimised than performance (this is where the BT tune comes into play).

I run the filters, open exhausts (but still cats) and BT tunes on both the R18 and my r ninet (1200cc similar tech to R18) and I'm amazed how the bottom end and low midrange is so tractable..... the R18 can pull from just off idle in 4th.....

Have you removed the charcoal canister yet? Curious if this is in your plans given the alterations made so far.
