I have used S100 for a couple of decades, wven when I had to store a bike for a year or so; works fine for me.
Thank you, could you please specify the exact name of the product? There are several products that I saw on the website.

The way I do things.
The shaft is nickel plated and should be polished from factory. When I clean my bike, I use a microfibre towel dampened in the same soapy solution I am using to clean the bike. In fact, I have 2, one for the upper body and another one for wheels, engine and underneath.
Rinse the entire bike and dry it off. I then apply a moisture displacement liquid (muck off) and dry any excess with a clean towel on the lower part of the bike, inc engine, shaft, and any other hard to reach area. The painted upper part gets a bit of wax or ceramic, depending how I am feeling at the time.

If yours has rust marks or something then gently polish the shaft with autosol or a compatible metal polish and buff it off.

Their website has a good description of all their product's uses.
I use their Total Cycle Cleaner on the entire bike except for the wheels. Occasionally I have to lightly wipe areas to remove bugs, tar, etc. On the wheels I use their Wheel Cleaner and, if needed, scrub them with a soft bristle brush. For the driveshaft specifically I use the Total Cycle Cleaner. On my TC it is very difficult getting to all of the driveshaft so the spray works well to get into the restricted spaces.
Everything I can reach gets dried with clean microfiber cloths.
S100's polishing products work well on the shiny bits.
For my Manhattan Metallic Matte paint (e.g. "green") I use another company's product for matte finishes.
