Bike
R18 1st Edition
Well first longish run done, 998km now on the clock. Bike ran well, bit bumpy in front for some or other reason ( I must re check the tyre pressure, think the filling station gauge may be in accurate).........but, ah the seat. Was happy to see home after the two 260km runs. For once I am going to fork out some money and have the seat modified, I eventually didnt know how to sit anymore. Need some extra height, I saw a custom machine with a virtually flat /level seat ...thats my mission for now. Must say the sound of the engine at around 140 to 160km/h sounds like a aeroplane engine, fuel consumption around 16km/l.

Good for you!!
Bit atypical the bumpy front, indeed have a look at the tyre pressure. Do nót go lower than spec. as that will see it tram line.

Have a look at the OEM ´Homage seat pack´.
Several threads on it.
It is a bit higher and flatter, allowing for more seat choice and it is fairly easy to mount it a bit higher too.

At 140-160 though, I think the seating position is compromised by the air pressure on chest/head and you could do with a bikini fairing too.

Awesome, that’s some fast riding! I personally need to stop and take a break every 2 hours or so and my breaks become more frequent the longer I’m riding.

Oddly enough never had any issues with the wind, most likely sitting higher will create some wind blast. I have ordered a Mito screen from Puig, hoping I don't create a turbulence problem. Time will tell, have also ordered a different seat from BMW.

Go for the weekender seat (mustang seats). The Puig windshield (and also the OEM) will generate buffeting, SAD BUT TRUE

Got me a seat like this one, still need to test ride. Mustang " Solo" seat from BMW. Hopefully better than stock.
