2022 R18 Transcontinental
Greetings from Apex, NC! I poured over the reviews and forum posts for months, went in last weekend and test rode a new old stock 2023 TC model R18. Slept on it only to check Craigslist and saw a barely broken in 2022 TC for sale in northern Virginia 1927 miles, all service records for an amazing deal.

My son drove me up, purchased it and rode it 245 miles back home. What a great ride on an amazing bike for a price I’m still pinching myself to make sure I’m not dreaming. Rode it 35 miles again today on a local loop I like to ride and ran a few errands.

Thank you to everyone here for posting so much information and thoughts pro/con on these bikes.

If you like the cruiser style bikes, these seem like the deal of a lifetime right now. Here’s to hoping they do catch on well enough to keep BMW producing them so we have parts for ages.

Thank you for the welcome. Took her out on another ride today and grabbed a picture. The original owner had the short windscreen put on it which I’m sure I’ll be happy to have in the summer here in NC. I am wondering how much more wind protection the tall screen would give me at 6’1” during the winter.

I have the Model B with the stock wind screen (same as your current wind screen); I don't have any buffeting issues, I like looking over the screen vs through it...

Thank you for sharing your experience. I think I’m going to roll with it as is for a bit before deciding.
