I was told this would work, and it does with a little fidgeting. I had to fiddle with the under-seat wiring a bit, but it will fit the R18B. The Mustang Cross Country sits me up a bit higher, but it offers much more support than the stock seat. I don't ride in the cold very much, so I doubt if I even notice the lack of a heated seat. I also like the look.
Now I need to order the backrest.

Just keep an eye on the clips holding the ring antenna below the driver seat, had a couple break off mine

Reviving this thread.
I just purchased a Cross Country seat and am planning on putting it on my R18B. Can you elaborate on what exactly you needed to do with the underseat wiring to allow this to fit?

I had to remove the raised wire ring under the seat and pull out a few of the wiring clips on the rear fender (so they don't show after the Mustang seat is installed. Then put a zip tie or a little electrical tape around the wires to hold them centered under the seat. Install the seat just like the stock seat. It won't be quite as close to the fuel tank, but it will just barely slide into the front seat slot. Don't cut any wires in 2 and you should be OK. 😁

Thank you! Is the raised wire ring the plastic holder that holds the wiring connecters under the seat or are you referring to the round security antenna mounted just above the rear shock? I have to look under my seat to see what you are talking about. It does not sound too difficult.

Dan

Now that I read this over - I think I understand - wire ring is actually supposed to read wiring. Spell check I suppose changed this.
