Hello,
I just ordered a black '23 B, which should arrive shortly after Christmas. I currently ride a 2021 Sport Glide (might sell it), and a 2024 S1000 RR. I am looking forward to browsing the site and finding the most comfortable seat that will retain the factory heater controls. We already have a trip planned to Key West from NC in March, so any input on comfort mods would be greatly appreciated. The wife is flying down, and I will be riding to meet a friend in central FL, and we will ride the rest of the way (no, not 2 up lol). He recently purchased a '23 B also in the white paint scheme.

If someone wants to share a good backrest and passenger backrest, with a luggage rack. It wouldn't upset me, lol.

Jason

Hi Jason,
Welcome aboard and congratulations on your 23 B. Post a picture once you’ve got her, we like to see what other members have 😂.
Can’t comment on aftermarket seats as I have the 719 option and a custom built one. I also don’t use back rest or racks but I am sure someone will come to your rescue soon. Enjoy your B when she finally arrives. 👍

Hello and welcome aboard.
I am also in NC and recently purchased a 23 TC. I love the bike, just wished it would get warm enough to ride.

Thank you guys! Yeah we get a little break on Sunday with a toasty 63 on Sunday lol. I'll take both bikes out to stir the oil and put some heat into them. Looking forward to a few beach trip rides this summer. Go grab something to eat at Southport and turn around and ride home, good times! If you or anyone else is interested let me know.

Well I don't like bragging, but here in SoCal we can ride 50 weeks a year. Which kind of has its drawbacks because you wanna ride all the time and not work around the house! Congrats on your Bagger. I have the '22. After my first long ride my rear end was killing me, so I had the stock foam in my 719 replaced. The new stuff is harder and helps; but for me, to do 500 in a day, I'll need more padding. I'm looking for something with gel. My buddy has the '22 TC and he bought the Corbin, which I tested. It does give good rump and back support, but its shaped to keep your legs close to the tank. When I'm canyon / mountain cruising I like to spread my legs for better control, and the Corbin makes this uncomfortable unless you slide forward. That's my 2¢
And I recommend getting the engine guards. I have them, the saddlebag protectors, and the axel sliders.

I bought backrest, luggage rack and engine guards from Roadstyler in Poland. Easy website. Good price and excellent quality. Might have changed with all the tariff rigmarole. Removed the engine guards, took away from the boxer look and never really used them as highway pegs. Hard to believe but the seat felt broken in after a few thousand miles. Actually very happy with it now. The 719 option has the gel insert.IMG_0596.jpeg

Rub it in lol, a little jealous of that riding season. Thanks for the information on the Corbin. I have been staring at the Corbin and the comfort seat by BMW that is thicker, 760mm https://www.shopbmwmotorcycles.com/...Uimg_-hjphoq2MpvlN2fdQajTywlg3wN7YxzrqOeeq290 . I hope someone has tried both and can speak to the comfort of the 760mm seat vs Corbin. That way I can at least keep the factory controls and not have to rewire the Corbin.

Thank you, I will be looking into that site, oddly enough, it hasn't shown up in my searches yet. I like the size of that rack and back pad for the wife. I was speaking to a parts counter gent at the local BMW dealership, and he has an R18 (I forget which model), and said the TC seat will bolt onto the B without issue. Corbin said as much about their seat fitting both as well.

They claimed that everything was up to date but a trip to my local dealership is on the schedule. It will be checked before the trip to Key West in March.

I envy you. I got mine back in Nov and had just a few rides before winter storage. It'll be late April before riding season for me :-(
Safe/fun/pleasant ride to Key West.

Thank you! Maybe it will clear up before April in your area. Could always fly down to FL and rent a bike to help with the winter time blues?

You know that thought occurred to me last week but to California instead of Florida for the nicer roads and views ... bike rentals aren't cheap over at eagleriders. Add the cost of the flight & accommodations and it was more than I'd like to spend.

Yeah can't say I blame ya. I wouldn't be doing the Key West ride if the wife wouldn't have said, "You aren't getting any younger and it's not going to get easier, don't let it be a regret". My problems will be here waiting on me when I get back lol.
