    R18 Helmet

Same here, sometimes with shades, usually with goggles.

    R18 Helmet

I had a Biltwell open-face helmet, but never a full-face. In my opinion, it was good quality but very minimal in terms of features. It was also relatively heavy. FWIW, if I were looking for a full face in the price range of the Lane Splitter, I'd be looking at a Shoei RF-SR or AGV K1.

    R18 Helmet

I wear the Jet Bowler style. It is a rebadged Hedonist. It's a very nice helmet, but pricey.

    Updated the stem mirrors

For clarification, were the mirrors that had the issue stock mirrors or RS mirrors?

BT Moto ECU Flash Group Buy and Discount!

If you're aiming to do it yourself, it might be easiest to order the handheld direct from the website, shipped to your front door. Good luck getting it figured out.

What's the jacket of choice for your R18?

I like that. Looks perfectly bulky to wear your own armor/Kevlar underneath.

(But wait there's) More crash bar discussion - DKdesign - BMW R18 Side Crash Guards

I noticed they have updated the disclaimer. This new description raises other questions, but I think it’s truly fishtail only, based on my correspondence.

I have OEM engine bars. Both Hornig and Wunderlich make great quality stuff. I was considering these DK ones to better protect the exhaust.

For what it’s worth, I heard back from DK and, according to them, these will fit any model with fishtails.

You might be right. I just don't want to scratch up the pipes in low-speed skills practice. I'm not sure if the engine bars will keep the back of the bike off the exhausts.

Has anyone installed these? Any opinions? I emailed them to confirm that these would fit a 2023, given their "First Edition Only" disclaimer. I suspect what they mean is first-generation base model only. https://www.dkdesign-global.com/product-page/dkdesign-bmw-r18-side-crash-guards-twin-seat

    Crash bars

For me, I want to participate in some low-speed skills training, which I have been warned will result in some tip-overs. I want the bars to keep as much of the bike off the ground as possible. I'd rather beat up on some bars that I can easily add or remove as I wish, rather than replace the...
