Jacket chest pocket does not work for me. Very frustrating. Really don’t want to deface the bike or spend a bunch of money to make it easier to give the state money.

What do you use for attachment points on the R18?

I saw a 2021 pure FE at Max BMW in NH this week, if anyone is still looking for one.

Two simple things. RSD cylinder trim and DKDesign copper roundels. Now 1000% more badass. Will probably add the RSD engine cover trim piece too.

This came up in another thread recently. I learned I’m not the only one of us who overfilled the oil on their first BMW because they misread the sight glass.

Super easy to set it where you want it. Pull the bolt, slide the lever off, slide it back on, replace the bolt. There is a page in your manual that describes it. I lowered mine as well. Made a world of difference.

Oh, since I started this thread, I should mention I got a pair of the “Rider” pants too. Pretty thin material compared to, say, Rallye pants. They were only $230 and have armor, vents, and a waterproof liner that zips at the waist and leg bottoms. Very well made, IMHO. For the price quite...

Check with your local BMW dealer. You’ll probably be able to get it for much less.

Speaking of which, Octobungee - how is that product not around anymore? There has never been a more useful travel tool. Glad the one I’ve had for twenty years is still holding up.

I’m going to give something like that another try today. Was scoping out attachment points and there are frame tubes forward of the pillion but nothing really behind it other than the turn signal stalks. I don’t know that I want to pull on those at all.

Saw this on my Facebook feed. Looks possibly ugly but useful. Still haven’t come up with anything. Seems like a product that should exist out there somewhere: duffel bag with configurable clamping system to attach to any luggage rack.

I gave up waiting. Long wool underwear and ski socks do the trick for me down to 25 or 30 degrees.
