I have the same dealership. They are super helpful, I call them for torques and such all the time with no headache. Even let me talk to some of the mechanics when I stopped by to walk through stuff I was working on at home.
Do you guys follow the procedure in the manual (remove a relay) or just rock it off the mounting bracket?
I did the rock off method but the attachment clip gauls the bracket every time and eventually it will cause a failure.
I couldn’t get the relay to easily come out following the procedure...
I’ve watched this video a half dozen times, for the life of me I can’t figure out how you determine TDC with the view port. I don’t see any differentiating marks for TDC.
I’m coming up on my 12K service and decided to bite the bullet and do it myself. I’m good on everything but the darn valve check. Long story short how do you know this is TDC (I don’t see any markings)?
I commute 104 miles a day with the first and last mile on washed out dirt roads. Granted I live in SoCal so weather really isn't a factor. But my R18 serves me well, of course my last bike was a HD Sportster so I might not have as high of a bar to compare to as some.
