You are correct. So supplies will be ordered and said plastic cover removed and it will be painted a gloss black. Oh the joys of going black! Where do you stop?

Just back from Klaus and installed the gloss black cover. Now of course need to do the gloss paint on the plastic part to match. Thanks Klaus. Awesome quality and service. Can highly recommend his services.
