Thanks for the input, I remember when I use to ride all over the nation on a 650 Triumph, I used, used oil, recycled oil just about anything except cooking oil to keep it on the road. lol. I plan on keeping the r18 for along time so I am being a bit more careful about the oil. Thanks again.

If I understand this right, if the battery in the FOB dies while I am in the middle of no where desert, there is no way to start the bike if I do not have the spare with me? Thats crazy, even toyota prius will let you put a dead FOB next to the push button to start the car if the battery goes dead.

Take it to the dealer or a custom shop, have them clone the key FOB and see if that fixes it.

Mustang Cross Country here, I usually have the FOB in my right jeans pocket, have not had any problems.

Here are a couple of pic's the cross country is much wider than the stock seat and I found this free camp north of Yuma where the mosquitos did not mind sharing the space with me.
