My fishtail exhaust project

We polished down a few of the welds and scuffed the mufflers. The coating company will sandblast them before applying a high temp flat/satin black ceramic coating that is rated to 1800 degrees F.

If you’re wondering what the inside of your head pipes look like. You can see the flapper in its natural open position. It still takes up a fair percentage of the available flow volume inside the pipe. The catalyst is encased in a stainless steel mesh so it’s not as simple as hammering it out.

Stumbled onto this on YouTube. Has a video about modifying stock exhaust. They can do the work on your fishtails or sell you one’s done by them. No idea of cost and are located in Grimsby UK. A possible alternative for those of you who are not quite as talented as MilwDave. Search the realtoyshop on youtube.

Approximately $900 U.S. plus shipping and no one really know what they are doing for that price.
