Reviving this thread. I just purchased a Cross Country seat and am planning on putting it on my R18B. Can you elaborate on what exactly you needed to do with the underseat wiring to allow this to fit?

You should be able to detect that type of leak. I had a leak in my trucks tire that only lost a lb or two a day - I easily found it with soapy water.

I took a nice ride today. Followed Highway 1 to Big Sur, about 40 miles from my house, stopped at the Big Sur Inn for a sandwich and looped back home. Beautiful weather, about 85 degrees. inland and mid 60's at the coast with fog blowing up the canyons, simply beautiful.

I will be retiring also in about 12 months

One thing I did when I mounted this seat, I added about a 1/2 inch spacer under each side of the front mounting bracket, I added some longer bolts as well.. This seemed to make it fit a little better and also fits me a bit better this way.
