Since my last post I installed a little Puig screen - probably the smallest they make - and my buffeting has almost completely gone now (y) It's amazing how such a small bit of plastic can make such a big difference, it's a pity that the bike manufacturers don't take turbulence as seriously as...

Mystery solved - my axle had some corrosion which bonded it to the fork leg. A bit of heat, WD40, more heat, a breaker bar and some of my best swear words - all sorted now :cool: (y)

I need to remove the front wheel so I got the usual kit out - 12mm and 22mm hex - loosened the Torx bolts & removed the left hex easily but cannot shift the axle at all. I have tried everything - WD40, blowtorch on the axle, breaker bar on the 22mm, whacking it wiv a big 'ammer from the left...

They are for sale on Aliexpress - sadly only with a plastic fender - the alloy ones don't have the same indicator brackets so you have to fit some 3in1 led jobbies. EDIT: My bad - they are aluminium (y)

I bought these for my Roctane thinking they would fit - they don't :rolleyes: Brand new, never fitted - any offer accepted as I need the space.

Mine has the same 'shake' and I believe it is unavoidable unless the ecu is remapped to enrich the idle mixture a little. Damn these Euro5 regulations :rolleyes:

I assume that a Dremel could be deployed if required ;)

They certainly look nice and I hear good things about their sound too. In my case I went for the chrome option but the black looks very nice on yours - good move on the Cerakoting too :cool:

Strange, I thought I had edited my avatar and can't see any reference to my old Roctane - I have a Vanilla R18 now Just ordered the Akrapovic Shorts which I think will suit me nicely :cool: Anyone need a pair of nearly new Fishtails? ;)

The fishtails have got to go, so I am looking for some slip-ons to replace them, My bike is a bobber so something appropriate - about the only thing I can find is the Pro Race turnouts which look ok but I am not sure about the visible gap they leave. Anything better available? Not too loud but...

I installed one on my Triumph Rocket - it made gear changes amazingly smooth and fast. I believe Translogic have one too, but at a much higher price
