When I picked up the R18 I ordered the factory accessory bags at the same time. I was told they wouldn’t be in until the end of July but I was pleasantly surprised when they showed up this week. (Yes, BMW actually BEAT a time estimate!).
The bag frames were easy to install. The hardest part...
My bike has only 400 miles on it and my right hand will fall asleep if I’m puttering around in 2nd or 3rd gear sub 2k RPM. Kinda annoying. Still only in Roll mode. One thing though, my bike has the RSD end caps instead of the chrome end weights on the bars. I seriously doubt those little end...
Yea, it’s like the oil temp thing. It seems like the guys who made the manual and the tools weren’t talking to the guys who actually designed the tool kit holder.
Mustang confirmed the Fastback Seat is marine grade vinyl. It looks like leather. They did a nice job.
(As an aside, Mustang got back to me with an answer in a couple of hours. RSD still hasn’t contacted me)
Oops. Looks like it is a Roland Sands seat not Mustang. Sorry “bout that.
EDIT: Ok, I was wrong about being wrong. It is a RSD seat BUT it was made by Mustang.
I haven’t seen a shot of the Vintage Fastback seat yet. It is fairly firm with a pronounced arch for your back. The length allows movement forward and back to adjust position fairly easily. It only has about 300 miles on it so it is certainly not broken in yet. I have a bad back from a car...
So it sounds like something they either didn’t implement OR took out of future builds. My bike is a Dec 20 production bike.
Just curious, does anyone on here have a really early bike that implemented the temp function?
OK this may be a stupid newbie question but I can’t seem to find the temperature display on the bike. I went ahead and reset the display to see if it was hidden and it wasn’t. I then went into “units” where you’re supposed to be able to set Celsius or Fahrenheit and there is no entry for it...
Welcome from a fellow newbie. And, what Bob said.
(As an aside, my bike was a demo bike and the suspension wasn’t properly setup when I bought it either. Definitely a must check.)
