During the last Reverse recall, BMW offered folks a $1,000 credit towards accessories, after they disconnected the Reverse function for a period of time. I'm not sure what else I could add to my bike, except an extended warranty or perhaps a new helmet... Wishful thinking...

I use fishing line during the Summer season, or fishing line coupled with a heat-gun on low during the Winter colder seasons; get the fishing line between the double-sided tape and the fork surface, and work the line back & forth while pulling downward. I used the same method as described above...
