Hi everyone,
New member here and new to the R18 family, so please bear with me and my questions! I recently bought a used 2023 R18 (base model, Manhattan) with about 7,800 miles on it, and so far I'm really impressed: the throttle response is fantastic, and the bike feels surprisingly light on the road for its size.
One thing I didn't notice when I picked it up: when I turn the handlebars all the way to the right, right at the stop, I get a "clunk" that sounds rubbery, like rubber hitting or popping. It happens with the bike stationary, both cold and hot, and only on the right side. Full left lock is quiet.
Has anyone run into this? Could it be the steering stop, a cable or harness, the fork covers, or something in the steering head? Any pointers on where to start looking before I take it to the dealer would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance, and glad to be here!

I would try turning the bars, while inspecting the steering tube area; perhaps, maybe it's the handlebar lock?

I'm not familiar with your model bike, I own a Model B; but I vaguely remember a lock cylinder on my older F/E Bobber..

How about a steering damper; perhaps your bike is equipped with a damper?

My bike makes a cracking sound when I first start out in the morning when making a slight turn. I've checked everything and I think it is caused by the the floating front brake discs shifting slightly. It does this just one time first ride of the day and not again until the bike sits overnight. It has not gotten any worse over the year. I believe the brakes discs shift when I back out of my garage or parking spot and then when I first start out going forward, shift back when I first start out and use the brake when turning out of the driveway.
