BMW OEM left non-throttle heated grip $150

New grip in package. Replaced my grips on the Classic and bought it in case the project went south. It went well so now it’s for sale. Made for grip heated option. $150 includes US shipping.

    Ariete grips

I replaced my original grips with Ariete. The heating ability is retained however it’s not as hot as original since the Ariete grips are thicker. The heating element is under the plastic tube on either side so cutting is straight forward and easy. I used a heat gun to soften the grips and hair...

    NOCO NLP30

Did a search and found old posts so here is a new one. Battery died hard today, leaving me to push the Classic - with sidecar - 10 blocks home 😳. Figured it was faster than a tow or getting a trailer. Literally a pain in the ass 😭. Replaced the OEM, 4 year old AMG battery, with a LiFePO4 NOCO...

    Brake pad change

Bleed the brakes and changed the pads all around. Got 18k miles out of the stock pads and probably could have gone another 5k before really needing to change them. What mileage are yall seeing?

Fork seal replacement for dummies (me)

Sharing tips in case anyone else tackles this so you can learn from my mistakes. My 2022 Classic right fork seal was leaking. Having 2 kids in college ($$$$) I decided to save $500 and replace them myself. Tools and supplies needed: 24mm crowfoot wrench and breaker bar - to remove the actual cap...

    Front fork air gap/air chamber?

Anyone know the air gap for the front fork? All I can find is 120mm but that's after installing the Wilburs fork spring replacement. Tackling a leaky fork seal and looking to save the $500 most shops want ...... kids and Christmas and all that.

    Wunderlich risers

Before yall beat me up I did a forum search, and no new information came up. The Wunderlich risers require both sleeves (the #5s in the microfiche pic) in the triple tree mount to come out and only the bottom one stays with the Wunderlich part going in at the top with the riser attached to the...

    Brake pads

Before anyone jumps on me, I did a forum search and nothing came up. I’m searching for a cheaper alternative to the OEM brake pad kits at $75 per set. It’s over $200 with tax and shipping for 3 sets of pads. Google search yields nothing. Any ideas?

    Committed a cardinal sin

Decide to afix a Ural tub to my classic. Fun and convenient for groceries although it is a workout steering it around. The dog likes it as well.

    Weekender seat added

Just got a weekender seat, thought the day rider was too narrow and the cross-country too puffy. It’s better than the 719 seat and looks good on the bike. Changes the riding position however so while I’m breaking it in I’m trying to get used to the new more forward position. Anyone else feel this?

    Upper fork caps

i removed the windshield from my R18 Classic and there are recesses in the upper forks (see pic) that would look better covered. Saw some upper fork caps from BMW for $129. Anyone find a cheaper solution?

    Warning - seat scam

There was a post in R18 group on facebook selling a brown Day-rider seat from Bruce John. Price was $150 for new, never used seat. Had a voice call with him and the voice didn't match his profile pic. Also, the facebook profile was created recently with only two pics, no comments and only he...

    Reflector on side bag

Just bought the bike last week and the right side bag reflector fell off. Looks like the plastic that wraps around the stem fell apart. It’s an R18 Classic. Anyone else have this issue? Pics added for reference.

    NOLA new 22 R18

In New Orleans. Just traded my 2016 K1600GT for a sparkling 22 R18 Classic. Very nice machine and already put 100 miles on it. Unfortunately I can't find the owner's manual or figure out how to look under the seat. Any tips? Also, I had a Russel Day Long on the GT, was amazing, the stock R18...
