I would think that a 2022 R18B with a Brentune would have better performance than a 2025+ model. The 2025+ reportedly has 4 ft lbs. more torque and the horsepower remains the same as previous years. The Brentune re-flash on the dyno indicates the same 4 ft lb increase in torque but also shows...
Maybe - depending on the length of your torso. On my bike it hits me right in the middle of my forehead - drove me crazy. I'm not that tall either , around 5'11". Made a few mods that helps. Vents in the windscreen helped and now I made some wedge spacers that tilt the windscreen slightly...
A little tip. You can tape the spare key to a strip of paper or cardboard and slip it under the seat to get it close to the antenna. This way you won't have to remove the seat.
Yes I did - It is not hard to remove them. Here is a video you should watch that was made by Adam Chandler that shows how he converted his R18b to a transcontinental. This shows how he installed the rack.
I am fairly sure the threads are m10 X 1.5 - not sure of the length though. I was able to mount the same rack to my R18B and found metric allen head bolts to fit at my local Ace Hardware.
I took a ride today - getting used to my new R18B - I rode up the Salinas Valley Foothills on River Road that meanders through the rolling hills covered in vineyards - I followed the Arroyo Seco Road up into the canyon and took a turn onto Carmel Valley Road. Carmel Valley Roads leads you to...
I got the standard height Powerbronze as I want t o look over the windscreen. Quality is decent. The edges are not as smooth as other manufacturers but not terrible - looks like they may be using a water jet cutter. The edges are easy to fix however with a light sanding and a quick going over...
I have been playing with my windscreen to try and reduce the helmet shake I am experiencing. I had three vertebra fused years ago from a hang gliding accident I was in many years ago, so I don't tolerate helmet shaking well.
I was over at my son's business a few days ago. He owns two Bell...
I believe you are basically doing what I was talking about. Most fuel injected bikes when powered on, run the fuel pump to build fuel pressure for the injectors. Some makers have the fuel pump run when first turning on and others have it start running the moment that the starter button is...
All this sounds like typical behavior when the fuel pressure bleeds off after sitting and cooling off. When you hit the starter immediately after powering up it may take a couple of seconds for the fuel pressure to buildup. That is why on the second attempt the engine starts. As an...
