Hi R18Holan. I have the narrow QR rack and have been trying to purchase the adapter plate, similar to the one you use on the duffel bag in the first video clip you posted (I have the same bag). I have this seat in brown on my base R18 and can confirm the improvement over OEM seat is significant if anyone is considering swapping out seats. Alex, were you on Princes Parade, Hythe, when you took the photo of the bike? This is often my coffee stop when I'm mooching around.

The other day, while making a very rudimentary mod to my R18, I managed to snap the chrome half-moon cover at the back of the seat. I had installed the Holan narrow QR rack onto the fender and placed the cover over the top and proceeded to tighten the bolt to secure the seat (Mustang Day Rider)...

Install was straight forward. Longer clutch/break cables NOT required, but you do need to snip some difficult to get too cable ties!

Very nice in my opinion. I have Rizoma bar end mirrors that are also fitted below the level of the handlebar, which I like the look of a great deal. But from a practical point of view my wrists often get in the way of the view of the mirrors, so not ideal. This set-up would appear to be better...

I have both the X518 adapter and the table lift. It is a one person job to install and lift the bike once you have got the hang of it. The table lift gets the bike maybe 3ft max. off the ground, which is enough for what I need (basic mods, maintenance and cleaning).

Interesting. I’m using the DIN port. But to be fair, in my case at least, I think it was charging the bike (hence being able to start it after being attached to the charger for a period of time). However I think the battery was unable to hold the charge.

Kern Stabi, the manufacturer of the X518, also have a lift that goes under the X518. If you search the X518 you will find some videos showing both in action.
