3rd party seats

I would like to add a driver backrest without a passenger seat (sadly I am a 1-up rider since wife won't ride).
It appears the only solutions are: a) Weekender or b) Day Rider.

Are there any testimonials out there as to preference. I am aware that Russell takes the cake but also a lot of money.

For looks, both the day and weekender are at the top of my list for the R18. I am currently using the day rider and I can say it is far better than stock but after 100 miles the pain starts to set in. No experience with the weekender.
