Adaptive Headlight Recall Update

If you bought it from new then I will say you do not have the recall done. In the UK at least, there was not an active recall done, it was more of a case that if the adaptive head light failed, they would have replaced it for free for the updated version, which is actually a new headlight unit, the same as before, but the mounting bits are more robust, that’s all.

BMW does have a page on their web site to check for recalls on your specific vin#. It did show I needed the reverse recall performed, nothing else. I have to think the "new, improved" headlight must have a different part number. Mine does work correctly so far.

Well, I firmly believe that if it is not broken then don’t try to fix it, however, if there is an active recall at your end for the adaptive headlight, if I were you I would contact your dealer to get it done.
