Today I decided I'd set the time correctly (we changed to Summer Time last weekend) and set the date.
Doing the time was easy, I set the month and the next thing on the menu was to set the year. It was set to 2008, so I set it to 2026. Big problem, a fault light came up saying it needed a service. I couldn't figure out how to get rid of it so I set the date back to 2008, which cured it. Picture for attention.

I did my service light last week (using Healtech) and know exactly what you mean/saw. I think the 2008 is just a default figure, and I think the system is quite basic, from what I’ve read, it’s just on a timer really. Like an alarm clock.

If you haven’t done so I’d invest in a re-set tool, then re-set the date again and using your device cycle through the menus to knock the annual service forward a year. It shouldn’t be difficult, just got to get your head around it.

i expect your service reminder was set at PDI and you’ve already passed it, hence the instant warning, that’s all.
