Interesting ... there was a guy somewhere who video'd his R18 on fire in that area ... likely this recall is to address that.

I just checked my VIN number - yeo my bike is part of the recall. I heard some K1600 models are being recalled for the same issue.

During the last Reverse recall, BMW offered folks a $1,000 credit towards accessories, after they disconnected the Reverse function for a period of time.

I'm not sure what else I could add to my bike, except an extended warranty or perhaps a new helmet...

Just checked mine, I'm on the list. Oddly enough, the previous owner had just gotten the other recall completed, and BMW replaced the entire reverse module. Looking at this new recall notice, it looks like another full replacement is in store?
