2023 R18 Transcontinental
I need to remove the battery on my 2023 R18 Transcontinental. I have removed the strap and tried to slide the battery out. It is EXTREMELY tightly seated in there. Are there any tips or tricks that can help me? Any help is much appreciated.

I think in the owners manual there's an entire section, which covers the removal of the ground connection and then the positive jumper from the opposite side; it also covers the installation instructions, which recommends the use of a zip tie to help routing the positive jumper cable.

Use your wife's spatula...it is flat and won't scratch....replace battery with a Lithium-ion TYKOOL from Amazon. Smaller, much lighter and mucho amps!

Maybe I should have asked when I attempted this.... I was never able to figure it out. Wish I would have heard of the flat head screw driver trick back then.

Firmly grip the negative battery wire, pull firmly. Yes they are in the compartment tight but it will come out. When reinstalling make sure the positive isn't laying on top of the battery. That is why mine was so tight. Now it goes in and out much better.
