Hi all! I’ve been an observer of the R18 for years. I’m late to riding, 45+ and just starting out. Been riding for 3 years now and started off on a Kawasaki Vulcan S. It had the same engine I got my license on, so light and manageable for a new rider, but the cruiser look and feel I wanted since childhood. We have surprisingly few options for cruisers in Europe. But the R18 had already caught my eye. Such a beauty in design and performance, but I didn’t feel ‘ready’ for it. When I was in India for work in October last year I saw one parked at a diner and after marveling at it, I started googling available offers again. Took me until May 2025 to find one nearby. After a test drive it was all done; I had to have it. It is such an amazing machine, such a gorgeous bike and I’m so very happy with my 2023 R18 Classic.
Looking forward to spending time on this forum as an R18 owner.
