BMW also sells the CE 02. It's more motorcycle than scooter unlike the CE 04.

I bought the CE 02 about a month ago and it's been a great city bike. I live in an urban area and the CE 02 works really well in that environment. If your commute is less than 15 miles, I'd consider one. My range is usually between 50-55 miles. Basically, 1 mile is 2% of the battery. It's just plug and play. What I like about it is that I always leave home with "a full tank."

Mine comes with the Highline Package (extra Flash mode, heated grips, and fast charger). I splurged on the comfort seat. I also bought the rear rack and top box but the rack is currently on back order. It has a reverse button. You push it and twist the throttle. It's a very useable feature.

Looks as if it will be quite nippy is it

Fleabag, are you saying the CE 02 has batteries that cannot be replaced? This bike is simply disposable, dependent on the life of the battery pack....for $9k ???????
I don’t have a CE02; I have a CE04, so I would assume that the batteries can only be replaced by a dealer. I’m saying that the CE02 batteries will be removable next year to give you additional charging options. It may be that since they are removable, they would be user-replaceable, I don’t know.

Thanks for your reply. "If" that is the case...whereas the batts on the CE02 are removable...I can understand as our Prius batteries can only be replaced by a Toyota dealer....and as I understand it, Tesla batteries can only be replaced by Tesla, etc. . I am interested in a CE 02 and would like for someone that is savvy, advise if batteries can be replaced by a BMW dealer or otherwise. I will call our BMW dealer tomorrow and ask as well.

It slices through traffic quite well.

The batteries are not removable. They would have to be replaced by the dealership.
