I expect electric bikes/motorcycles will fit a utilitarian need for me someday, they are sportier than a golf cart..
But for now, I got a great deal on another R18 instead and I'm much happier.
Electric vehicles are anathema to satisfying the wanderlust.

When they make one that does what I need I
might look into it. Until then my R18 TC & Kwak
VN1600 outfit are here to stay. ( & the BMW CE04
doesn't come anywhere near what i need )

I considered it but for me it's range is not adequate enough.

I need it to reliably have 50-60 miles of range in the cold.

Reportedly it can dip to low as 50 miles in the cold. With electric vehicles losing range over time... it def won't do for me.

Love the concept though.

I went to a BMW demo day. The online sign up had the CE-04 listed. I was excited to try it.
I showed up…no CE-04s. I assumed the risk of one ‘dying’ on the ride route was too great, although they could have had 2 or 3 staggered for charging, but was curious why they had almost every model but that one.

I have 4 bmw bikes: 2023 RT, 2022 R18B, 2023 1400GS Trophy and a CE 04 scooter. I bought the scooter because the price was right and it is a fun bike. I typically get 77 miles on a charge plus the regenerative braking adds miles as you go.

The scooter is not for everyone. The naysayers on this forum probably have not spent any time on the bike to experience its capabilities. It is fast, virtually cost free to operate. The technology is amazing. It works great for a second or third bike.

It gets a lot of attention. More so than a chromed out Harley.

Don’t be discouraged by the naysayers here. They are in the minority.

Where is the picture?

I had one, traded it in for my R18B.
It is a great scooter, fun to ride, gets attention everywhere.......but the range is what lets it down. That was the only reason I got rid of it. I won't venture into the electric ike market again unless there is something with a real world range of 250+ km.

I have an R18 B also. The scooter is not for everyone for sure. But it is a fun machine.

Whilst I am aging in body, I seem to be aging backwards in mind.

So as a recreational toy I could go an electric bike that has the things I remember from my child hood slot car set.... so instant acceleration, burning rubber and that ionising electrical smell.... something that scares you shxxxless so range doesn't matter.... and is so not green that it is awesome.

It suffers from the same affliction all small motorcycles do when I ride them. I'm a big guy. I look like a bear on a tricycle. I don't care how cool all these little bikes are, there's just no future in that look.

I can see one in my future as well

I have one. I bought a demo unit with 75 miles that had all of the options. $5K off MSRP made it easier to swallow. When I need to run errands, it’s perfect. Amazing performance. I’m not hopping on the R18 or my other ICE bikes just to go to the hardware store or to go get a hair cut. In fact, I’m selling my R1100s and my R1150GS in favor of this scooter.
