Brake and Clutch levers short

Did the levers come with installation instructions; If not, download the installation instructions from the Motorrad site for the RSD levers. I was able to install my levers using the directions fairly quickly..

Even after losing 2 of the springs, the outcome is awesome! WAAAAY-AAY-AAAY nicer than the clunky originals.

1st spring lost because I was unaware there were springs included when I opened the plastic bag street side to compare the levers to the originals. So BEWARE! There are springs that are not taped down when you open the bag --they'll go flying if you're not paying attention.

2nd spring flew to parts unknown because of lack of best practice while installing the bushing.

A word to the wise. Do not install the bushings from the top side down. It's best to install it top turned over and installing it from the bottom. The reason being is that way you can use the plug thingy to better grip, hence force the holes to line up as you tap the bushing down. Took me 15 minutes trying from the top, slipping my grip and the spring goes flying. Took 60 seconds and zero frustration once I gripped it the other way. See picture of what I mean.

Very nice outcome... Exceptional quality. very nice looking and easy to operate.

PS Look at the sweet bronze old school gas tank logos! Looks soooooooo much nicer with the titanium green and black colors than the original blue/white logos did.

Kudos to the owner of DK Desigsn too. Very responsive to email inquires and didn't call me a retard for losing the 1st spring. LOLOL I'm not a mechanic. I'm just doing the best I can.

Replaced the OEM levers with a set of DK Design brake and clutch levers. Ordered on Sunday- received on Wednesday via FedEx - from Japan to rural Texas in 3 days. Transferring the piston/plunger from the OEM levers was a bit of a struggle. Finally succeeded by using a nail punch and grease paste to help guide the brass collars back into place. Here's a side by side comparisons of the scale difference. DK Design levers are much more sleek and finely crafted compared to the OEM levers. Very happy with the results of changing the levers - a small thing that makes a big difference in the overall ergonomics of the bike.

I'm totally sold on everything by DK Design for R18. Their stuff is of the best quality at half the price of anywhere else.

I wish they'd make an exhaust.

I got their enlarged turn signal when I got the levers --such a little thing but makes a big improvement in finding the switch with your thumbs.
