Bike
2023 R18 100 year anniversary edition
Just got my bike back from the speed shop that downloaded the Bren tune map. Bike is a 2023 Anniversary model with 1175 miles on it. the DNA air filter I already did.
Those are the only two mods. Just took a short ride but I like the bren tune map. It's not OMG but it's noticeable. Very smooth, better acceleration...this is how the bike should have left Germany.

More updates once I take it out for a real ride.....

Well I posted this under Modifications. I could take up a collection to hire an out of work Penthouse Pet to do all my filing properly???

Another thing I determined about this bike...the best thing about it is the looks.....It's a nice bike, but does not excel in any particular area with the exception of style. It IS damn good looking and well made.
As far as handling, speed, cornering, braking, et.et. good but nothing special. But I did buy the bike because of how it looked....so it's on me.

Do you mind if I ask where you got your swingarm bag? Best to you.

Bag came from : Ends Cuoio. If I recall they are made in Italy and shipped from there. The bags is superb quality, extremely well made and the leather is formed around a metal case, so the bag does not ever sag or change shape. They make a few styles et. for the R18.
I suggest IF you are installing it yourself to try and put the bike on a lift. It was a F ing nightmare installing with the bike on the ground because the brake rotor or whatever made getting my hand in there really tough. Also the black metal bracket did not align properly with the pre drilled holes in the bag, which is why I know the bag has a metal casing that is NOT easy to drill through. It took some doing to get the bag on he bike properly.
BUT....it's excellent quality once its on. Really nice.
Good luck. I suggest the quick release latch, you don't want to screw around unstrapping it....

What about R18 anonymous ???
Step 1. Powerless over buying the God Damn bike in the first place!!!!
Step.2. Came to believe this big piece of junk would fix me!

IMO - The R18 is by far one of the best Baggers in the motorcycle market, in terms of quality and craftsmanship... Blows Harley away at $10k less, and a way better looking Bagger..

In the 3 years since R18B arrived, does anyone know if the only changes have been along the lines of paint color?
Are there any year specific bulletins that reveal design changes?

The only differences I've seen when comparing against my 2022 First Edition Model B are the SOS system (which might only be offered in EU markets) and the larger Front Fender which accommodates the larger 21" wheel.

There was rumor that the lock button might pull double duty, providing a short cut to the heated grips and seat menu..

Other than chrome finishes and paint colors, the geometry is the same...
