Cheers for that tip, I will check. To be honest, last time I used the 2D navigation I was looking at the TFT more than anything else. The “join WiFi” message did show up but the the very beginning and I clicked “accept”
I can’t recall if it was the phone or TFT the one displaying the message “initiating maps” and nothing else happened and by then I lost the will to live and I settled for the 2D navigation. It does not happen too often but it is certainly a PITA when it does.
I have a Garmin Sat Nav which is donkeys years old which I bought in 2009 when my previous car did not come with Sat Nav and I have been tempted to buy a mount and take it for a test to see how it works. It is a very good unit with maps updates for life.
