2024 R18 Roctane
I have a 2024 R18 Roctane that I ordered longer lines for.
Can I dump out the factory V10 oil and replace it with Shimano mineral oil for the clutch lever hydraulic line?

I'd think it would be fine, fwiw Magura make the brake lever/resv.

AI Overview +8 Magura Royal Blood (mineral oil) is highly recommended and widely used for BMW hydraulic clutch systems, specifically on Hexhead/Camhead models (2005+ K1200/1300S/R/GT) and Magura Hymec conversion systems. It acts as a durable, non-hygroscopic, biodegradable lubricant that is gentle on seals.Key Details for BMW Clutches:Fluid Type: It is a low-viscosity mineral oil, distinct from DOT brake fluid, ensuring it does not absorb water or damage paint.Compatibility: Suitable for Magura Hymec systems, HC1/HC3 master cylinders, and standard BMW hydraulic clutches.Colors/Formulations: While often blue, Magura mineral oil can be red or other colors depending on the specific product iteration, but they are generally interchangeable for clutch applications. Why Mineral Oil: BMW clutch systems require mineral oil rather than brake fluid (DOT) to prevent damage to the rubber seals in the slave cylinder.Alternatives: While Magura Royal Blood is recommended, other mineral oils like Shimano mineral oil, fork oil, or even hydraulic jack oil can be used, though专用Magura oil is optimized.Important Tips:Always check the reservoir cover, which typically specifies "mineral oil".Do not mix different colored hydraulic fluids; flush the old fluid completely when changing types.Regular bleeding is generally not necessary, unlike with DOT brake fluid system
