Clutch nightmare

2022 R18 Delux
My R18 has a little over 30,00km on it and my clutch began to slip after the last service. Today I was told that it is not their fault and I must replace it. BMW quoted $3,000aud for the clutch parts and $2,000aud for labor. Does anyone have links to a seller in Australia for a new clutch?

Also if someone has a link or service pages to do this myself.

😱 5Gs to replace the clutch? Did they say this was due to normal wear and tear?
 
TBH, I was surprised by the short lifespan as well.
Not sure if you own the bike from new and whether you tend to ride in buildup areas, where the use of the clutch may be a bit prolonged, i.e, repeated use or dragging the clutch constantly. These bikes have a dry clutch and wear and tear will come sooner than a wet clutch for the obvious reasons.
If this is your case, then we know the reasons.
 
I go for longer rides with my club as well as for my mental health. I am not a "hoon" so no draggin the clutch. I have also been riding for 40 years. Right now I am chasing it up the line as I first had it checked on when it began to slip at 25k
 
That clutch is large. Interesting that it would fail this early.
Not many cars around with manual transmission these days, but for the few out there, I assume dry clutch, right?

😂 I hear you and I wasn’t questioning your riding abilities, I was just trying to determine the cause. I commute 50mls daily and half of that is splitting lanes in London, where the traffic is horrendous to say the least, hence I thought this could happen to me at some point. Although I constantly scan the road ahead and conditions, 8 out of 10 you get a t*at stuck in traffic that simply does not move over for me to filter in and then I have to break and thus use my clutch to switch gears.
 
I live in a small city, 100k. If there is traffic, people freak out. Gottra Tasmania. I am chasing it up the ranks at BMW. I don't buy into it needing to be replaced at 25-32k. I have a couple of other bikes one is at 60k and is just starting to need one (but I ride it like a monster).
 
Hmmm I smell BS from BMW, cars have dry clutches transmitting much more power to get more mass moving a lot more times! I’ve never replaced a clutch in anything in 42yrs!

After chasing down all my notes and visits with BMW I told them I was not happy with the service that I was getting my first report was at 25k's about the clutch. Showed them the evidence and tol;f the service team to get in touch with the Warranty team again. After all my chasing they have agreed it was a fault.
