This isn't so much about the R18 per se though I tend to ride it quite a bit so...I'm interested in purchasing a comms package mainly for rider to passenger comms. Amy recommendations out there?

Yeah...im probably thinking of getting Sena soon as my group are using Sena

I have Sena intercoms in my Shoei modular helmets and on my DOT half-helmet. They work great! My wife and I (riding together) and my brother and I (on separate bikes) talk at conversational levels at any speeds. They can be paired to cell phones, radios and GPS's. But I have no use for those features. My only interest in such devices is for helmet-to-helmet communication.
There are MANY different models of intercoms, with a big variety of features and mounting systems, so each rider should check out the manufacturer's web site to see which is best, depending on desired features and type of helmet(s). Sena makes a few special models that mount IN certain full face helmets. That's nice because there is nothing outside the helmet, in the wind.
