I'm surprised that their measured max power and torque are much lower than the ones announced by BMW for the R18

Often times the measurements by the OEM is at the flywheel and the Dyno is of course measured at the rear wheel which would account for the loss
Yep. As R2K says, ALL of the manufacturers measure torque and HP at the engine's output shaft which is always greater than the numbers resulting from a rear-wheel dynamometer.
