🥵 sort of dropped it.

What wás I thinking??!!

See the photo.
Came from the left; over the bridge.
Turned right, thus towards to where I amstanding to talke the photo.
A concrete pathway; a steel bollard and a steel drain cover/ man hole, all with griit sand. Ah and it is going down. With passenger.
The idea was to roll down between bridge and steel pole over the man hole onto the path.

I feel very confident with the bike but the coming back from an overheated drive must have impaired my judgement. Imean; it would be tricky enough with my Vespa Primavera 🤭

Surprisingly enough I made the turn ok but as I applied a bit of front brake the bike leaned to the right OFCOURSE but with no possibility to open the throttle and cone steer through...
Luckily the ´step down´ meant that I could júst lean the cilnder head cover on the concrete ramp while holding the front brake. Switched off the engine with my thumb, holding on to the grip.
Charming got off and helped me right the bike.
Pulled a muscle in my calf but for the rest only damage to the ego.

Very glad you and Charming are okay (excepting the pulled muscle). I admire your pluck in sharing your misadventure!
Years ago, with my wife on pillion, I dropped my new-to-me R1150GS at a 4-way intersection at a big bike rally in Hollister, California. It was duly witnessed by at least a couple dozen HD riders stopped at the traffic light. Humbling, to say the least!😄

Thanks.

Can imagine the HD flock watching adding insult upon injury.
