Do you store your R18 on a Trickle Charger

It is really not a good idea to store a lithium battery at full charge. It is recommended that the battery not exceed about 60% of charge for extended periods of storage time. A lithium battery can hold a charge for a very long time as compared to a lead acid battery. I would not worry too much about the battery for several months. If you have any concerns about parasitic loss on the battery just disconnect it while in storage.

I agree I fly big model aeroplanes with big lipo batteries and when not in use they are stored at 60% if you leave them fully charged at 100% you don't get the same bang

Just charge it and disconnect. Will be ok for well over a month. Then recharge. A two week timer charging for an hour sounds perfe to me.

Thats what I have in mind to do except I have a one week timer so I am charging for 1 1/2 hours/week because that seems to be how long it takes to reach full charge.

It seems the R18 does draw a small amount of power when parked. And I am not inclined to go in and disconnect the battery if I can avoid that.

The more I read about the do's and don'ts of these lithium batteries the more I think I'll just stay with lead acid. Plug it in and leave it all winter.

The TC and bikes with a large TFT display would seem to me to drain a battery some, but my R18 doesn't even have a fuel gauge. Can't imagine the battery loses very much juice in the garage.

´not much´ is flexible and there ís key off drain. I see the battery go down about 20% / month.
