You have got to be kidding me. Never thought of maybe looking in that little book that came with your bike? The one titled owners manual? The one which tells you about maintenance like how to remove the wheels? You guys have got to be kidding me. Nobody ever changed the rear tire or had the dealership do it?
Can you at least read the speedo so you know how fast you're going when you're passing everybody on the freeway because you replaced the stock air filter with the DNA brand?
All you had to do in the 4.5 hours before getting the hump that you hadn’t had a response to your original post, was look in your manual. BMW even have them online should you not have it in your hand at that particular time. All you had to do was to say yes, the pipes need to come off, or no, that it's not necessary. I had a legit reason that made me ask that particular question. Trust me on that.
I didn't appreciate your 'smart' remarks, Einstein!
You make the first smart ass reply in this thread and then have a problem when someone else returns the favor? I own a Model B, which requires the exhaust to be removed if I want to swap the rear wheel; I'm assuming the same procedure would apply for the Base Model. I always use the posted Motorrad Accessories Installation documents, which are extremely detailed and just about cover every aspect of my bike thus far.In order to change the rear tire?
