I 100% agree. After using the Kern-Stabi for a year on my R18 FE....with only the single coupling pin.....never a problem. Very quick hookup and quick remove. Every time I put the bike in the garage...it goes up on the K/S, including the front part of the K/S. It takes only 2-3 minutes to lift and the same to take down. If there was one demerit...it would be hooking the front assembly up...takes getting down on your knees to push in the connecting rod...but no big deal. If there was ever a must have accessory for the R18.....it is the K/S lift, hands down!An updated note regarding the X-518 KERN-STABI lift, and use of a single coupling PIN vs two Coupling PINs:
Part 1 - Lifting the R18 using the Kern-Stabi; ONLY A SINGLE COUPLING PIN IS NECESSARY. After installing the 2nd coupling PIN as shown in my YT video, I found that installing and removing the X-518 a little clunky; if properly hanging the X-518 onto the Exhaust hanger first, then aligning the coupling PIN into the Coupler will properly align the stand. This will make installing and removing the stand much easier.
EDIT: If there was a 2nd critical necessity it would the the FOBO 2 TPMS tire sensor with my cell phone remote monitor. Amazing!
