I found this OBDLink in my tool kit pouch after I bought my Bagger. Does anyone have any experience with these? Are these standard, or did I get something for free?

Definitely a freebie. Those are used by some car owners to connect to an app on their phones to get various readings from the ECU. Not sure any app gives you R18 info though but others can chine in.

After the OEM BMW tool this the go to OBD2 reader for the R18. It will allow you to read and reset fault codes, and reset maintenance dates.
Oh, very nice. So it's useful then.......will this work then on my car too? From what I gather, it should do that too.
