Front Wheel corrosion

Shocking just went out put on kern stabi and checked both wheels no corrosion phew mine is 2022 and live in Scotland

I live in south Italy and we don’t have snow with salt on the roads during the winter.
I have different opinions.

Could be brake pad dust residue that from disc come true the middle, is difficult but could be.
Metal stress and heating during running and this could be dangerous.
In any case is necessary to deepen.

You don't have salt to melt the snow, but you do have a sea near you?
Whenever I take my bike along the coast I have to wash it the same day to prevent any type of corrosion

I’m living at 25km from the sea.
On the motorcycle we have other metals so soft, for me is strange that corrosion start from inside near the holes, only front wheel.

There may be small imperfections in the coating due to the pulling stress of the spokes ... just enough to give corrosion a place to get started ... just a thought.

I am seeing the same on my R18 Classic 2022.
I will contact the dealer this week and see what the situation is. I also have some bubbling on the lower steering yoke and will point that out also.
Did you get yours sorted?

There were issues with spoke wheels "pitting" on the R1200C over 20 years ago, but many bikes had no problem.

Yes I remember that. I used to own a R1200C which had its wheels changed out.
I loved the bike but the vibration going through the handlebars caused me to suffer from vibration white finger. Took several days for the discomfort to wear off. That was following a 200 mile ride. Not that far really.

I use cruise often now to alleviate numb fingers.
