Hi You all !
Just discovered this forum yesterday evening.
I'm in south of France and have a R 18 first edition.
I pre-ordered it in September 2019 and got it in September 2020.
Got all options, Cruise control, foot boards, reverse, hill start , heating grips ,etc...
My use is for cruising and touring, so I had to add some equipment to fit the purpose, eventually ending with a "Classic" look alike bike.
I'll post the add-on in the related threads.
I'm open to encounter other beemers and join road trips in Europe.
I speak French, English, and enough Italian and Portuguese to communicate.
Looking forward friendly chat with you guys.

Hey Gerard, I’ve been thinking about adding foot boards to my R18. I guess mainly because I’ve never ridden with any and thought I’d give them a try. What are your thoughts?

My R 18 is my first bike with foot boards.
I like them, for the comfort and the no-need-to-think-about foot position.
So I set passenger foot boards too.
You may need to install a double shifter too, depending how you adjust the front one.

olá, eu morei e no Brasil a quatro anos e falo inglês, espanhol e português.

Thanks, I think I’ll haul off and get some. Try a little something different for a change.

Ótimo!, e onde você mora agora? USA ?
